  Peter Cameron's 60th birthday conference
   22 Aug 2007 - 25 Aug 2007,   Ambleside, England
From Higman-Sims to Urysohn: a random walk through groups, graphs, designs, and spaces. On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Peter Cameron, this meeting will celebrate his many, varied contributions to mathematics. We hope that as many as possible of Peter's students, collaborators, colleagues and friends from around the world will be able to attend.
  Amenability beyond groups
   25 Feb 2007 - 16 Mar 2007,   Erwin Schroedinger Institute, Vienna, Austria
Besides conference talks the workshop programme will contain 5 minicourses (4-6 hours each) given by Claire Anantharaman (Orleans), Gabor Elek (Budapest), Masaki Izumi (Kyoto), Vadim Kaimanovich (Bremen), Alain Valette (Neuchatel). The courses will provide a comprehensive introduction to various aspects of amenability and also report on recent advances in the area and should be interesting to mathematicians at all levels (starting from advanced Ph.D. students).

Geometric and Asymptotic Group Theory Conference & Applications
   30 Aug 2006 - 03 Sep 2006,   Manresa (Barcelona), Spain.
   Submission deadline: 08 Jun 2006
It will be devoted to the study of a variety of topics in Geometric and Combinatorial Group Theory, including asymptotic and probabilistic methods, as well as algorithmic and computational topics involving groups. More specifically, this includes but is not limited to: combinatorial methods, group actions, hyperbolicity, quasi-isometries, isoperimetric functions, growth, asymptotic invariants, Poisson boundaries, random walks, algorithmic problems related to groups... To emphasise the "Applications" of geometric and asymptotic group theory, and highlighting the very recent developments regarding "group based cryptography", we will devote the last day of the conference to this subject: September 4th will be the "Cryptography Day".
